Pivnica u Kozla in Bratislava

Decent restaurant for a casual meal, mostly of dishes from this region of Europe. Staff is quite nice and very helpful. Some choices of beer and wine, but we settled for a pilsner.Food is quite nice but some dishes you will be needing to ask a side dish like fries or vegetables....Yet the pork ribs were oven grilled, but still quite nice.

Food fairly delicious, beer fresh, but you might still feel a bit hungry after you finish the main course. Service okay probably because it was almost midnight and not many guests there. I guess it is the location (underground bar) that they can make the price lower than others though. Located at the very heart of old town area is a plus.

Very friendly waiter (blond guy) , delicious food, was surprised how good tofu was made. And cheap prices!

visited this place in October. with a buggy it is not that easy to go down these stairs, but as long as your kid is not sleeping inside, it is OK.the place looks like a pub, not a fancy place. the pictures outside of the food look like a cheap place, jucy stock photos with huge price on it. but do not let you blend by this, just different way of publicity.place is chilli, as it is in the "basement", so in summer must be great, when outside you cannot survive the heat.coming to the most important part: the food is delicious! also very friendly staff and no problem if you have special needs for kids or allergies, all is doable. I highly recommend the koleno there. 900g is a lot for lunch, but really great! food quality is very good. so do not pay attention to the pictures outside which look like a cheap ad, this place is cosy and great food!

Great ambient, delicius food, cold beer, they had all you need.

Here is a good place to drink a kozel beer. And the dishes are good but a main hall is underground so there is a little dirty smell.

Nice and quiet place with delicious traditional Czech and Slovak beer and tasty dishes that are very big. Great staff and considerable prices. 2 servings of ribs. chicken schnitzel, baked potatoes, fries and 5 beers = 48 EUR that was very considerable for 3 adults and kid. Recommended.

Food was very good...But the waitress (the older one) was absolutely rude!!!! Its unacceptable for the restaurant!I am really shame for her...You should not go there because of her!!

I really used to like this place, but they changed menu, prices got higher but meals worse, it is cash only which isn’t well communicated and service could be better - long waiting time for menu and they messed up my order.

Cozy place with great food and nice, helping waitresses. Very good place to spend time with family or friends. Relatively cheap.

The brewery is located in the basement. Good and cheap beer. The food is okay, but the portions are tiny compared to their price. Service is not very good, the waiters are rude and inattentive. Smoking is apparently allowed so if there are several smokers the air gets rather foul.

I have searched here on Google before and almost people showed thumb up of here. So me and my family went here to have a lunch only from wien, Austria. Taste. Decoration. Quantity. Quality. Service in time. Price. Everything was perfect. But here is not easy to use parking place. I have paid 7.8 Euro for 1h 10m parking under ground parking area near the restaurant.

Wow. Great traditional food. Traditional menu, not in English. This seems to be where the locals go. I had the bryndzove halisky which I heard about before coming. It was great. Also had great cheap beer! 🍻

Great place to sit for a soup, a pint, or a more lengthy lunch.We were lucky to find it not so crowded.Their goulash and fish soups were great.

Good food and beer

I booked this place a couple of weeks ago.Despite the place being quiet the service was so poor that, 90 minutes in, no attempt had been made to take our food order and we had only had two beers. We had waited more than 20 minutes for a third beer and to attempt to place our order for food but to no avail.The waiter was either completely AWOL or distracted by social interactions....We eventually gave up, left the exact money on the table for the two beers each we had drunk and walked out.

Underground restaurant/bar with average food quality and prices. you have a large bar and a couple of tables in here. Waiters come to your desk regularly.Beer and wine is good here, I ate here only twice, both times good.One of the benefits (for some maybe not) is the lack of cellular coverage.

A real brewery, cheaper than other "Slavic" pubs in downtown Bratislava. Correct service.Special recommendation for the very hungry - grilled knee. Smoked baked bun.I'll definitely be back again.

Just SKIP it. They fool you with the lower prices but the food is horrible. Fish was not fresh and we indicated that it had a long hair cooked on it but they did not change it. Ribs were also not fresh and they were 80% fat.If you sit downstairs, there is a bad smell from the wet old walls.
